For travelers heading towards Sin City, Nevada I suggest taking a pit stop and visit Ugo Rondinone’s Seven Magic Mountains, which is located in about 5 miles off the 15 fwy in the desert outside of Las Vegas. It’s open to the public and definitely a site to see!

I have been a Los Angeles resident for more than 15 years, and I admit that there are still areas of this urban sprawl that I have yet to discover. Case in point: The Huntington Library in Pasadena. It’s a shame that it’s taken me more than a decade to see this place.

My friends and I had the opportunity a few weekends ago to explore the area, and the gardens took our breath away, particularly the Japanese Garden. The attention to detail was incredible, so much so that I felt goosebumps as waves of nostalgia washed over me. It truly made me feel as if I teleported back to Japan. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to see the entire place (which was HUGE!), so we’re planning a second visit sometime in the spring.

Thanks for reading!

Cheers,

Empire State of Mind

Last month, I went on a trip of a lifetime with my closest girlfriends to the best city in the world, New York City! Below are some of the pictures we took at the observation deck of the Empire State Building!
